Well, the trip started very nicely with a view of the Boston New Years Eve Fireworks.
I am looking forward to the Sand Fleas. Sand Fleas just love me. Any time I go near a beach these guys attack.

The view out the window on the way to California.
We met a friend in California who took us out on his little sail boat.
I thought it was supposed to be warm and sunny in California?
As soon as I saw the boat I knew it was gonna be a good day
Winter in California
Some Hardy women enduring the cold southern California temps
Plenty of Dolphins to keep us company
It was a great day. A nice sail with some great people, dolphins, a little organic shopping, ending with a Dark and Stormy.
Reminder to Self, DO NOT SPLIT LANES !!? You are in a CAR. First time driving 4 wheels in LA . I ... Don't ... Like ... It...
So what to do in Sunny Southern California when you have most of a day to kill? Well an indoor car museum of course... The Petersen Automotive museum in LA is not bad, but the displays lean towards customs, movie cars and concept cars. I am more into OLD and rare cars. Still, not a bad stop. The real draw for me was the tour of the "Vault", the basement area with very interesting cars. One of a kind, very rare, many with interesting stories behind them. The Docent really knew the history of the cars, but was not great at the technical questions. Ex: I asked about the tires on a late 20's or early 30's Rolls. The filler valve was on the rim as if it were tubeless, but I didn't think there were tubeless tires then. Funny, but he didn't know that detail ,😁. Maybe I should ask more normal questions. Here's a pic of me with a car from "A Clockwork Orange". I will put a few More pics in my albums eventually.

Someone complained I didn't have enough selfies
A very different seat from the first pic.
The main island of Fiji is beautiful. As is all of Fiji.
The 180' Meridian runs right through Fiji. Other than Siberia and Antarctica, this is the only place where the 180' Meridian crosses land. It is also the international date line. Although, the time zones don't quite match up in this area, so there is some confusion. On one side of the line it is today and the other side it is tomorrow.
Some mapping programs have difficulty with the 180' Meridian. Here it looks like we are going to fly off the ends of the earth.
The rooms are all romantic and stuff. Fat lot of good that does me.
